Ashton Junction

Haven Wharf

OO Gauge

OO Gauge

Designed and built originally by Graham Gatehouse, this compact two metre by half metre shunting-exercise layout is a fictional interchange between railway and canal, although the scratch built warehouse is based on that at Whaley Bridge. All track and points are hand built SMP with Fulgarex point motors . Hands off operation is achieved by Sprat and Winkle couplings.

Hennock

3mm

Hennock represents a Branch line through station somewhere in Devon. It is my first attempt at building a 3mm layout. All the buildings are scratchbuilt from card and covered with brickpaper. The locos are whitemetal kits, Romford wheels and gearboxes from Branchlines. The fiddle yards are angle aluminium, a new approach for me. Coaches are from Brynkits and the 3mm Society. Most of the wagons are 3mm Society kits, mostly moulded by Parkside and Cambrian.

Wells Green TMD

OO Gauge

Wells Green TMD is a diesel and electric depot set in Crewe, Cheshire, featuring a range of highly detailed 25kV electric locomotives in an authentic grimy, gritty atmosphere. The depot mainly undertakes routine maintenance to electric locomotives, but also contains a diesel fuelling point enabling many different varieties of locomotive to appear. Due to the rapidly changing nature of today's privatised railway, the layout is operated in two different timescales, 2002 - 2004, and 2004 - 2006

OO Gauge

The layout is not modelled on any particular prototype, but it has a strong Great Western/BR Western Region influence based around the nationalisation era. There is not much industry in Oddsan End, so most of the traffic comes from outlying areas for forwarding to regions up the line.

Oddsan End

Just Sidings

N Gauge

A branch line, somewhere in Southern England. From Monday to Friday the line runs as a Community Rail Partnership with passenger and parcel workings, also mixed freight working to small freight depot and small fuelling point. At weekends the line becomes a Preserved Line with diesel and steam workings, plus Thomas the Tank on some weekends. There is a small high street, garage forecourt, and a church hall where a model railway exhibition is taking place.

Lymwood Branch

OO Gauge

Lymwood is a small terminus station at the end of a branch line. The line crosses the river Lym, before entering Lymwood station. A small goods yard handles coal, dry goods, building materials and the like. There is a cattle dock on the rise up to the station and another has recently been added on the extension to Lymwood which also provides a small engine shed and a turntable for visiting engines. The layout features working signals and lighting.

Brocklesea Branch

N Gauge

A small seaside branch line station with a small goods yard to serve the local industry. The period and region are not defined which allows the operators to run stock from any period from 1948 to the present day.

Knightwood Canalside

OO Gauge

The layout features a five road engine shed, working 70' turntable, ash disposal, a coaling tower which lifts a loaded coal wagon and is fully lit around the yard and shed.
