16-09-1975 First meeting at Wheel Inn Pennington. 7 founder members present John Linnel, Mick Barnes, Ian Grewcock, D Rutter, Tony Hicks, Mike Easter, Ken Easter. 30-09-75 Second meeting at Wheel Inn . Held after advert in local paper, attended by 21 people including John Dedman and Ken Hatchett . 7-10-75 First meeting at Craft Room in Lymington Community Centre. This was followed by meetings every Tuesday evening. 10-75 Baseboards constructed for Brookley Road layout. 11-75 Track laying and wiring started. New members joining regularly including Nigel Norris and Mick Colley. 12-75 First train run on layout.
1-76 Trestles for layout constructed
2-76 Moved to new Phoenix Room, new store cupboard built.
4-76 First train to complete full circuit of layout. Scenery and buildings started.
6-76 First club running session – very confusing.
